Alarm management
We developed an advanced AI model to efficiently
filter and manage alarms on offshore gas platforms. This project, in
collaboration with Yokogawa and supported by a European initiative,
focused on enhancing the decision-making capabilities of operators by
reducing alarm fatigue and improving situational awareness. Our
innovative approach leverages historical data to predict critical
alarms, enabling proactive measures and minimizing downtime.

Enhancing Control Room Operator Decision Making
In the dynamic environment of industrial control rooms, operators face task overload, leading to decision fatigue and potential errors. To mitigate these risks, we developed an AI-based decision support system (DSS) using dynamic influence diagrams and reinforcement learning. By integrating expert knowledge, the DSS effectively detects anomalies and recommends optimal actions, enhancing operator performance and reducing cognitive workload.
Risk Analysis and Accident Modeling
Our expertise in risk analysis and accident modeling empowers us to provide clear insights into industrial incidents. By analyzing extensive incident data, such as lightning-triggered events, we identify patterns and vulnerabilities in various sectors, especially in chemical and petrochemical industries. Our advanced modeling techniques, including Bayesian networks, allow us to predict potential disruptions and enhance safety measures.
